The Empire Club is a day habilitation  center for adults with disabilities.  Every day adults with disabilities come to this place in Glens Falls, NY where they learn skills, perform work and use it as there base to go out into the community to work  voluntarily and for pay.

Our Story

Anybody entering the Empire Club knows immediately that they are in a different place. We are a community of adults with disabilities  and as such can’t hide our differences. Our outward appearances, our covers if you will, are all different and visible and that is our strength. In the world outside the Empire Club covers are important to people. They seldom get past the outside cover to see the book behind the cover. They often prejudge and act on the basis of a person’s cover not the book inside. At  Empire Club our covers are so different and visible that they become invisible and we relate to the person not his or her cover. Once you enter  Empire Club  the story is about who is in the wheel chair, not the wheel chair.
