For many consumers Empire club is a gateway to jobs in the community. At least 50% of Empire Club consumers have jobs. Each week after stopping off at the empire club some of the consumers continue on their way to various jobs in the area. Empire Club's role is to serve as employment agent and support institution for these worker clients. Employers range all the way The Sagamore Hotel in Bolton landing to Kentucky Fried Chicken and the Red Lobster.

Here are what a few of The Empire Club members have to say about their work experience.

Michele Centerbar works 11:00 to 5:00 one week as a housekeeper at the Sagamore hotel. She has worked there three years as a member of a three man cleaning team. She finds her job interesting  especially since other members of her family work there. The money she makes isn’t bad either and allows her to go shopping with her mom.

Tom Moses works three days a week from 10:30 to 3:00 at Kentucky fried chicken as a bus boy. For four years Tom has been responsible for keeping the Dining area at KFC a clean attractive place to eat. As you can imagine the job keeps him very busy and time goes quickly. Tom, a very social person, also enjoys working with his fellow employees.

Marie Macker is another Empire Club client that works at the Sagamore. Marie also works as a housekeeper. Twice a week for the past 4 summers Marie has been picked up at Empire club and taken to the Sagamore where she works from 11:00 to 5:00. As a senior worker she often has responsibility for training new staff.

John Hillis works for the village of Lake George keeping the village and water front attractive for the many tourists that come to visit each year. It is an important job and he does it well as any one who has enjoyed a summer stroll along the Lake George WaterFront can attest.
