A Winter Picnic in June.
Empire Club Works Sean's Charities freedom machine. A Winter Picnic in June.

[Under Construction]

50 degrees, everybody shivering and turning blue and that was the start of our June Picnic. Someone suggested kick ball as a way of keeping warm but even all that exercise didn’t warm us much. Time to eat but the only thing warm was the hotdogs cooking and if they weren’t eaten quickly they also got cold.

We tried everything to stay warm. Kevin played on the slide while Helen and Todd played Frisbee with the staff. Tom and Earl serenaded Joan in hopes of warming her heart but to no avail. They finally gave up and sang happy birthday to Michelle Stanley. Some sat around playing games but they quickly became hypothermic. Finally we surrendered to the cold called the buses and escaped to the warmth of the Empire Club. Next year we will pay closer attention to weather forecast
